SUCCESS vs Trouble finding rear seal for Duster transmission

Thanks for the lead and, in theory, the seal you suggested should be the right one. However, I've measured the diameter of the seal many times and the OD is smaller - approximately 2.255" rather than 2.376". The existing seal seemed to be a tight fit when it came out. The shaft size checks out with the part you suggested (I measured 1.560" vs 1.558"). My car came off the assembly line in late June '71 - the last week that the car was produced as I recall. I wonder if they stuck in a '72 transmission. I had the transmission repaired back in the mid 80's and I recall the AAMCO shop owner told me that he had a heck of a time getting the right parts.

Guess I'll keep digging and see what I find and I'll report back.
