is this a cam a little small? i saw one that was 292 509

and i saw on moparts a head with 2.02 valves with 1.60 ex is is this to big for the 302?

and isnt the 1.78 the orginal 302 valve size?

o and i jsut found out that the 302 pushrod size is 11/16 this is ok on my older 318 correct?

The .509 cam is too large for the 318 engine, without a steep gear and a loose converter as it's 244 @ .050.

The 2.02 valve is ment for higher rpm engine, and secondly the port of the 302 head won't be able to utilize the valve size, in fact we are getting that amount of air (cfm) that they are getting with a 1.78 intake valve. The problem is that the larger the valve gets in a small port the slower the air speed gets, and the port efficency fall's way off.

As for the pushrod you should be OK.
