Garage floors

If you epoxy paint it,Sherwin Williams Tile-Clad HS is the best industrial floor epoxy paint. It is a 2 part epoxy...A and B.
You can get it tinted any color also...I just went for slate gray.
The homer depots Behr epoxy is not that good, bubbles up and wears after a year.
My shop with alot of traffic looks great. It has been six months and I got 9 1/2 years to go.It last over ten years.
Is your home new or new to you?
I prepped my floor with a floor sander, water and 80 grit paper.
I had tile glue in one area and hired a man with a diamond grinder to do that area.
If I where to do it again,I would have hire that man to diamond grind my whole shop 3000 sq feet.
10 gallons of A AND 10 gallons of b...about $55/gallon...Buying in 5 gallon bucket saved some money.
If it is new concrete and cured over 30 days and it bare without a sealer you are good to go.But if it is an older slab and stained...It is all in the prep work.
DO NOT ACID ETCH YOUR CONCRETE.IT IS THE WRONG WAY TO DO IT.
Here is a link to Moving my Business.New location Build,it has some info about my floor. This epoxy is not a water based and has strong fumes for a few days.It is an industrial epoxy and it needs 2 coats but it is the best stuff I ever used.
