ignition cylindar removal...help!

You just need to change the switch or the lock cylinder? If it's the lock cylinder, the next step(s) would be to remove that steering wheel hub (Grant?) with a puller, remove the turn signal lever and the 3 phillips head screws holding the turn signal switch in place. Disconnect the turn switch at the connector under the column and pull the switch out enough to allow removal of the upper housing.Next would be the snap ring that holds the upper column bearing in place. It looks like you've already removed the screws holding the upper housing to the lower but if not, remove those and lift up the upper housing to gain access to the parts underneath. You next have to remove a plate held on with two big philips head screws. It's the plate that covers an access hole (or slot) where you trigger the cylinder release. Once you get the plate off, you should be able to see that area. A tiny screw driver or paper clip usually will work to release the lock cylinder. You may have to insert or remove the key to get the cylinder to come out all the way as there is a spring loaded clip that flips out.
If you need to remove the ignition switch, you'll have to take the column lock ring off. First take the inner bearing snap ring off the center shaft. Then pry the stamped steel ring off the center hub of the steering lock. Then drive the roll pin out and remove the lock ring. With the lockring removed, you can now get to the 3 screws holding the ignition switch. Disconnect it at the connector under the dash, take the column loose from the dash, and pull the switch assy out. Make sure you disconnect the battery before you start this project.
