Turbo 383 in a A-body Barracuda
Well,
not much to update! Waiting on the Automatic trans to be delivered. So while I wait, I have been doing a bit of sheetmetal work. Finished melting all the lead out of the 10 factory seams and welded them solid and filled them with All-metal. Got all the jambs cleaned up and welded the b-pillars solid to the rockers to stiffen the door latch area. The striker area was cracked pretty bad so that had to be welded up. Got the donor trunk gutters welded up too. I still gotta put the new AMD rear body panel on but that will come after I spray the epoxy sealer. The car has been rearended in some point of its exsistance and a typical butcher repaired it with Bondo. Man I hate Bondo. I pulled every stinking dent out with my Eagle II and filed them smooth so just a couple coats of primer will take care of the rest. Had to make a bunch of plugs to repair the rust where the front and rear window trim snaps in. Rust got through to the screw holes for the trim clips. Saturday I will spray the PPG DP90L epoxy to it and cut the window and door jambs in with the QQ1 Poly Electric Blue PPG base and PPG 4000 clear. Then I can get the doors back on as well as the glass so when the trans shows up I can get it in and DRIVE it!
Thats about it for now but here is a few pics to view,
