hey guys some awesome darts, happy to have found this thread. a few years back after selling my first nova project (i was raised on Chevrolet), i stumbled across my 66 GT for just over 1000$ and drove it home. its appeared to have had the driver side fender, hood and grill support replaced after some kind of accident as they were both primered. it had 2 slot mags and 2 steel wheels, was missing the air cleaner and i knew nothing about mopars to boot. i did little with it for quite a while (probably out of intimidation) and only this year have actually began figuring it out and "bonding" with it. after talking to some mopar guys and some personal research ive found it had the commando/charger version of the 273. im hoping it is a true HiPo car, i have not pulled valve covers or anything and the driver fender has no tag. it has a 904 that after a servicing, actually has a pretty firm shift to it, the odo reads around 240,000. i dont know how to tell the difference between the 7.25 and 8.75 rearends and it does have p/s and it has 10" drums. also, it has what looks like 67 seats, or at least 67 skins on 66 seats, not sure what thats about. any info you guys may have feel free to let me know. i found the dog dish caps in the trunk and recently have found the few missing pieces of trim and charger aircleaner thanks to FABO. i have a sbp disc setup that came off a early 70's scamp i believe, that im looking to swap too. i was thinking swapping something different but am starting to lean towards rebuilding the 273. anyway hope my "essay" hasnt bored you all too bad.
