71 318, factory forged crank, factory bushed rods, cheapo rebuild kit from Northern, cast piston nearly .110" in the std hole(7.9-8:1), factory 318 heads cleaned up at home (wire wheel), Crane Energizer cam .454 .454 216 @.050", Edelbrock Performer 318/360, Holley 650 DP Spreadbore (Jets 67 front/89 rear) 1inch phenolic spacer, MSD Blaster2 coil, Accel superstock wires, converted to electronic ignition w/stock ecu, timing at 32 total, 904 w/B&M shift kit, factory convertor(stalled 1800), 8 3/4 w/cone-type posi and 3:55's, cheap Summit headers.
Car: 71 Swinger, gutted interior excluding bench seat and B&M Megashifter, no heat/air/radio. Fiberglass front fenders.
13.90's at St.Louis. 8.90's at Coles County in Charleston,IL.
Not bad for a 318 and a 18 year old at the time :)
