Unported head quickness?

No problem :glasses7:. Alittle advice though, Take those big *** bumpers & braces off the front & rear, make some aluminum brackets & install glass bumpers, you'll save a "solid" 180 lbs., The hood weighs around 67-68 lbs. but i left mine on, The front bench is very heavy also, Run a couple light weight racing seats, the back seat isn't so bad, I had all the metal on the car (includeing) the hood, Aluminum radiator, All iron 451 other then the intake, all the glass & hardware, the extra weight of the 8.3/4 & 727 trans & the car just weighed in at less then 3100 lbs without me. I'm 150 lbs., so unless your a heavy weight you can get the car down to a solid 3100 race weight, With this mild combo & 1.5s 60fts you'll have a solid 10 second car.

The next season i changed 3 things, Pulled the heads & home ported them but still kept the 2.08/1.74 valves, Dropped on a Weiand street D shaped TR & 2 holley 1850s, installed a comp solid 520/540 282S, right off the trailer in 85* soupy heat, my 1st. run on the leaner side it ran 10.87 @ 123.58 on a sorry 1.63 60ft. Hope this helps.

thank you again i need all the helpful info i can get, and what you are running is exactly what im shooting for, and exactly how im looking to build my car, ill probably stick to the first combo for my budget for now but i might try and home port my heads, how hard is it to home port?:notworth:
