kill stories

Another kill story from my oldies vault. This one also circa 1971 and involved my 1971 Duster 340 I bought new. I was 19 and still living with my parents who moved from Indy to Nashville Tenn. I had owned my Duster about a month and had it running the way I wanted and was on my way back to Indy to visit friends and relatives and to show off my new car to a certain young lady I had met shortly before I moved south.
I worked afternoon shift so I went home after work, showered and grabbed my bag and headed up I-65 north to Indy. Somewhere around Bowling Green KY. some jerk in a 67 SS 396 Chevelle (butternut yellow) passes me then cuts over in front of me then slows down.
The speed limit was 70 and I was tooling at just less than 80 to play it safe. I swung out into the left lane to pass him then he sped up, I slowed down, he slowed down, so it was obvious he wanted to play. The next time I sped up and then he sped up I hit it and so did he.... needless to say I walked off and left him. I think I left him so fast he opened his door to get out to see why his car had stopped! lol After proving my point I thought I had better slow down cause I had to be doing about 100 mph by now. I looked at my speedometer and I was doing 135 and still climbing! Never saw that Chevelle again. :burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout:
