Twin scroll is it necessary to separate the cylinders on a V8?

Hiya, so on a twin scroll design where the turbine housing is divided to separate the exhaust pulses do you think it is necessary when used on a V8 to channel the manifold all the way to the flange? wont it pulse since it is only getting half of the exhaust anyway? It seems like the problem it addresses is mostly from a single manifold system on say a slant 6 or 4. Any thoughts? This is in a twin turbo configuration with headers not manifolds, just to be clear.
