SKMFX Engines gets 519 hp stock stroke 360

You guys have been paying attention. I built the engine in the article, sold the shortblock and still have the top end. W2's especially the closed chamber variants are a great cylinder head, but you have to be comitted to using them as they require W2 specific valves, rockers, intake, headers. I didn't think 519 hp was too bad considering the cam rule (hydraulic lift rule) and intake rule (dual plane). With a single plane I would expect 550-560hp to show up at 6800-7000 rpm. Also be aware that an SAE j1349 correction factor is used at the EMC and most entries suffer huge losses in hp/tq from their home dyno's. On our SF-902 it made a legit 531 hp and 490 ft/lbs in contest form, so we had a good idea what to expect. The real wild card was the RockettBrand 81 octane supplied-- I should start a thread about my EMC 2011 engine--I think that build is far more interesting. J.Rob
