6-PACK Install
Here's that engines bigger brother I just delivered a few weeks ago. 505" RB with a 6bbl. Carbs were brand new, and I used the same promax jet plates and metering block (not shown in this pic...they were backordered at this point...lol. I have a video, but I need someone to host it for me, and I have to send it to them from work...Dial up will take forever...lol.
Like was said, have the full kit. you need the coil bracket, fuel line package, linkage set, and vaccum lines handy. With all the stuff new, it took me about an hour to install the carbs after mods. Start with the center carb fuel line, then rear, then front, and dont tighten anything until they are all started a few threads at least. They should be able to be threaded together by hand with some "massaging". Also, the outboard linkage should be re-adjusted after base idle is set. They should slide into the outboard carb levers with no preloading...so they are totally relaxed when the throttle is closed. Take you time!
