Chrysler brings back the Dodge Dart
I'm making up the #'s, I don't know exact, but let's say 1% of Darts were high-performance models. The other 99% were 4 door grocery getters and even if 2-door, had /6 or 318's in them. That was the essence of the Dart. A new compact economy car fits that essence, even if it's not what most of us on this site envision when we think of Dart. The fact that they're making them much sportier now is just to hit that modern youth market where they will sell and make the company money. That's what it's about, not making yet another low-sales enthusiast car to satisfy all of us. If it's not fugly and is a quality-built car, I can see myself maybe buying one in a few years, maybe a used one. Hopefully they make a stripped performance version instead of just a fully-loaded and expensive performance one... that's as close as we're likely to get to an old 340 Dart Swinger with this car. I can't see them calling it a Swinger now though, I think it gives the wrong connotation these days.
