American Community Survey

Anyone had to take this survey? Its basically a long form census. The more I read about it on-line the less I want to take it.

yesterday a census bureau worker showed up on our front porch requesting that she come inside and watch us take this survey.We have a newborn at home and my wife really doesn't have the time to take the 70 questions survey or want this random lady to enter our house. The census bureau's website states that is is illegal to refuse this survey. However on line I have read that the government cant request any thing more than name, date of birth, and ethnicity.
