The 70 Duster......

Well a couple of new updates....

NO NEWS from the painter...so I am guessing that the Charger did not get painted over the weekend as he told me it would. Hopefully have an update this week or maybe next weekend.

To top that off...the house that we had been negotiating on since late November and finally worked it all out around Christmas time. Well it was set to close on Feb 3rd. We had the home inspection, well inspection and septic system inspections done. Everything was fine and made it to the final hurdle. The bank ordered appraisal. Got word today that the appraisal was about 10-12% less than our offer. So looks like we are back to square one there. The appraisal took both realtors by suprise. I was a little suprised considering the new appraisal came in at exactly what the tax appraisal district has listed on the house from 2009. Since that time the current home owner had a shop built on a 60 x 80 slab. The shop contains a fairly large game room, a 10 x 30 storage room and a working shop of about 30 x 60. Anyway, our offer was WAY below what the seller originally listed the house for. In fact they had dropped over $100,000 already before we even looked at the house and put our offer in! And our offer was about 8-10% below their current asking price. All in all the seller would have to take about 32-35% off their original asking price to meet the appraisal. As a seller...man that would be a tough pill to swallow!

But man...I was really, really looking forward to having that shop!! I am gonna miss it even though I never really got to have it. :(
