Yes, I had that same problem! Did you get the damper set up for a Mopar pulley, or the one set up for a SB Chevy? Anyway, mine has the SB Chevy pulley set up (which makes it easier to find a pulley that worksÂ…sort-a). I just picked up a set of washers to make spacers between the pulley and the balancer. Keep trying different combos of washers to get the right depth. Basically, keep trying it until she stops throwing belts @ high RPM. Once you have the magic size figured out, you can either cut some better spacers out of steel tubing or just keep the washers.
I have been using the washers on mine for about 3 years now, spinning 6800 rpm through the traps without issues.
