AMC = Mopar?

One more thing, if AMC's are Mopars, are Fiats Mopars or are our Mopars now Fiats?
Or Benzes, or Mitsubishis? Or Hillmans? A Colt is a Mopar, Sox drove one! Does that mean every Mitsubishi is a Mopar? Plymouth Cricket was a british car made by Hillman. And although I like some AMC products, they are no more a MOPAR than every Mitsubishi, Hillman, Benz, or Fiat. There are a few guys in my local Mopar club that think their Packards, Studebakers, and Nashes are welcome there, and due to the laid back club management, they are. BUT, I would love to try taking a Dart to a Packard meet, or Studebaker, or AMC. Do you think they'll let me in? I say it ain't a Mopar unless it says Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, or Desoto on it somewhere.
As for AMC using some Chrysler parts, if I put a Volare subframe under a 32 Ford and put a shivvy engine in it, is it now a Mopar? Hell no!!!
