Always had a problem getting off the line with that motor. Didn't figure out 'til too late that the machinist doing the engine work decided all by hisself to ignore my 10.5:1 specification. He took .500" off my brand new TRW pistons, ending up with a bit over 9:1. I was foolish enough to TRUST him and NOT check the motor when I put it together. :oops:

Not that I'm very bright now...but I was dummer younger.


That 292º cam is quite a monster. Sure didn't sound like 108º cam.
