Lagging when shifting?? (727 auto, w/ full manual valve body)

Ok, so yesterday I readjusted the shifter linkage, and that may have helped. The delay is still present but it's less then a second now. I'm going to "fine tune" it today when I replace my ball joint. I'll re-post here with the official results! Thank you guys for all the helpful tips and advice!
