Finally found metal last night
My friend only had lower quarter sections for a swinger laying around, so I spent the better part of the evening with a threaded dent puller, now it looks like someone took a 12 gauge to the side of my car :oops: :D
One of my friends suggested a full quarter replacement, but it's not in the budget at this exact moment. That's money better spent on the supercharger and remaining 4-speed parts. BUT when I paint the car again (probably in a year, thinking a blue, or maybe silver) I'll replace the whole quarter panel. This year's color is going to be Rallye Red with 340 Stripes and a '71 Strobe stripe down the center of the hood ('71 duster hood & grille going on the car)
I still have to finish pulling dents, grind down the high spots, finish making the lower panel (with body line), weld everything up and clean it up real nice.
And the inside of my shop looks like a coke factory exploded (from all the dust), my boss is going to crap a brick when he sees that monday morning :oops: :D
