Mopar SB Heads 3671587 2.02/1.60 Ported and Polished
found these on ebay any idea to how these would work compared to the eddies will they get me to the HP im looking for?
No body has told you what the eddies flow ootb, they flow 240'ish...and sometimes need corrective work in order for them to last, but are a good head and like the rhs...if starting from scratch 'depending on cost comparison' can be a good start.
The x,j....2.02 version from the factory flows around 225-228cfm, if they were ported by someone who knows where to grind, they'll easily go into the mid 250-260's, and with a lil more extensive porting, flow 270-280's cfm
As for quench, that depends on the cyl pressure, as to wether you need a closed chamber or not.
id say that 1200 for eddies that are really ready to run, as in all checks out on them....is a decent deal... being that they end up costing almost 1600 by the time they are shipped and with tax 'brand new'
as for 8-900 on ported factory iron 'say they that they do flow 250+cfm'...is also a really good deal, but the you'll be limited in the compression depot on pump gas a lil more than with aluminum 'with those pistons'......but in all seriousness....a half a point or even full point is not worth the hp that the better air flow will give...so, if you're focus is max compression on pump gas, go eddy's....if it's cost vs most hp gained in the end...just go with the better airflow.
