340 ap6

The progress has been a bit slow on the car, I was hoping to paint it after Christmas but it seemed to rain here every weekend, And I’m still working on a club members car.
I have been sourcing parts from the USA & Australia for my 340 build, I wanted to do a budget build but do it as cheap and as strong as I could so I have been trying to buy quality new & second-hand parts for it.
The list & prices so far:
Complete 340ci(these are rare & hard to fined in Australia)carb to sump & 727 auto $2200.00...I sold the Heads, Air cleaner assembly, Manifold, Rods, Headers, got back $600.00
Machine work: Block 40up rebore + new cam bearings $600.00, Crank 10/10 regrind $180.00
New never used mopar alloy heads with head bolts $1600.00 shipped to my door step.
Second-hand but in VGC Yella Terra roller rockers, Melings HV oil pump, Eddelbrock 340 torker-2 manifold, Romack steel balancer, Re-curved Mopar(not sure if I will be using this)dizzy & crane HI-6 ignition. I got all this of the same guy cheap & a heap of other stuff that I sold off at a profit, All up these owe me $120.00
Slightly used Second-hand Vanola 40up forged pistons & new rings $300.00
Slightly used second-hand Eagle SIR forged & full floating I beam rods $180.00
New never used Comp-Cams solid cam & lifters $190.00
Second-hand MSD dizzy $120.00
Slightly used Second-hand Sanderson ceramic coated headers, Not sure if they will fit in the AP $280.00
New Clevite 77 Rod, Crank, Cam bearings & TRW brass freeze plug kit $180.00
So far that`s $5330 for a very strong & hopefully very quick motor, I have a Holley(came with the 340)750 D/P that needs a kit, I need to get the motor balanced, Get a Gasket kit & some other bits & pieces, Hopefully It will end up around $6000 for the motor.
Some other bits I got for the AP:
Used for mock up only B&M Pro-ratchet shifter & alloy water pump & crank pulleys
Never used Magnum Force upper control arms, With ball joints camber kit & powder coated
Cheers Doug
