Bud Shootout/Daytona Crashfest

dont know who nascar polls for these "results" but too much contact, pack racing, single file train racing of 10 years ago is what fans hated and caused nascar to create the cot and other changes to get away from this style....now suddenly we are full circle.

just my opinion but hated it then and hated it last nite....enjoyed last years daytona...more racing

I agree. I sat in the stands at Daytona for a number of years while the drivers played follow the leader. Hated it. I came to see a race, not a Demolition derby and not a parade.

I didn't, and still don't like the COT. We now have the equivalent of Spec racing with "stock" (yeah right) bodies.

NASCAR seems to be doing all it can to go main stream, and in doing so is moving further and further away from the sport that gave NASCAR it's name, and it's appeal to race fans.

btw, I've been in the suits at Daytona and Atlanta, the front stretch and the back stretch, and it seems to me that the real race fans are in the back stretch. lol

I've enjoyed my self so much more with the people in the back stretch seating than anywhere else at both tracks.

The infield is a party zone, and my ADD doesn't allow me to pay attention to the race with the number of "underdressed" ladies around. lol
