I'm 36 and mine is a 1966 Barracuda. I don't have much of a commute and I usually walk to anywhere under a couple of miles so I don't know it's really a testimony to a real daily driver.
Up here in cold Michigan I ran around in a 1992 Olds Ceria till the frame just about rusted out, poor heat, drivers window didn't work too well so just left it up always but ran great and got me 20 mpg, got 180,000 on it and the 3 speed auto trans was still working fine. All I did for the drivetrain was change the water pump and a relay in the trans and fresh spark plugs and wires every 30,000 miles or so. Really good car it was, would still have it if it didn't rust away
