super commando LP Rockers?

Hey guys, I'm about to start putting this new engine together and came across some interesting information that i thought i should share in case anyone else comes across it.

I had picked up a set of Super Commando Large port smallblock cylinder heads for the latest 408 stroker. Mopar, in all their infinite wisdom, had edelbrock cast them a large port cylinder head, with similar guts to a W2, but retaining the factory intake pattern, and the header pattern. Which was a great idea, and one of the few aluminium cyl heads that can touch 300 CFM. They use a 2.055 intake valve which was supposedly relocated to accommodate the large port runner.
The bolt on Mopar part number rockers for these heads were supposed to be made by crane...before they went under. so long story short, the rockers never got produced. leaving me to guess what rocker they ACTUALLY needed.

at first i thought they'd use a W2 rocker setup, having that offset intake rocker. well no dice at all, not even close, way too much offset. The next guess was a w2 intake, with a factory exhaust, again not even close. now for the kicker... i go pull a set of factory rockers off a junkyard 360 head that i had sitting in the corner, They bolt right on!!! so all they require is a factory LA rocker setup. i went with a heartland sharp since they have that nice roller bearing inside. i couldn't believe that was even a part number in the book that was completely useless, and identical to the factory rocker.

mopar said they heard both ways on the w2 rockers working. at least I now have an answer! LA heartlands for me!

does the heads take rocker stands or are the mounts part of the head?

if it take stands ...they will use w2 rockers...and crane is in business again and make w2 rockers. they do not make the rocker shaft which is drilled off center...and a w2 rocker is a w2 rocker whether crane makes it or harland sharp makes it....
