Glad your listening Mike. I did tell you in another forum to tal;k to BJR.
Also, there is a fella here running 11's on hs 318. In a MoPar mag.
Ring a bell?
Who would that be? While I'm far from my combo being perfect or optomized I would keep the J's on the motor. The 302 will end up choking that motor on the upper RPM. With a set of the domed KB hyper pistons in the 318 with the J's and that Comp cam you have that thing will be a screamer. My car is fine driving around town with the Eddy heads and crappy TRW pistons and it'd be even better with a set of the flat top KB's. One of those mistakes we all make when we build our first motor. I just wish I had a place like this to have asked questions before I bought parts and put my 318 together. But it's what I got and it runs some damn good numbers with pump gas and impressive numbers (in my book) with a little nitrous for what the motor is. Like anyone else if you had to do it all over again you'd always change something. Stick with the J's Mike and put that money you were gonna spend of the 302's into a valvejob, pocket porting and bowl blending on the J's and get a set of those domed KB's for the 318 and go piss off some 350's.
