Turbo /6 or v8

I currently have a 318 with after market cam, not sure what though was never told when I bought the car, hooker headers and a 4 barrel edlebrock carb. Its not a bad setup but I've seen so many people just give away /6 for chep so I thought it would be kinda cool to have a /6 that could beat a v8. Either way Ill end up build one or the other I guess it's just the decision now
