We'll I had to remove the starter to take off my headers today. I know you can get a smaller starter that is pricey but also heard you can use a later model starter that is just as small. My question is which one. Car is 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger 318. Thanks in advance,

About a 92-5 Dakota 5.2 is "something to ask for" so you don't confuse the computerized parts guy

They aren't all that expensive

Often, the "P" number out of the catalog is cheaper and the same unit you'll likely to pay more for when you order a 5.2 starter for a Dodge truck.

I'll bite. What is a "P number?"

I think he is talking about the Mopar Performance catalogue all the part #s start with a P

I have a like new NAPA rebuilt mini starter I picked up for my Hemi build but it will not work for my application. It cost me $40. You can have it for that plus the shipping cost.
