Poor Superbird, won't sell!

Asking is one thing, getting is another. However, with the dollar headed for almost certain demise and boomers getting older and wondering what to do with their dollars maybe some are being deployed into toys. I know I am doing just that.

To me that car isn't a good use of $175K when so many usable cars are out there with the owners needing cash and ready to deal.

x2

Another reason, IMO, is that there is a trend in "trash to treasure" with tv shows like American Pickers, American Restoration, Pawn Stars, Storage wars, Barrot Jackson, etc., that have some people thinking anything old is rare and expensive. Granted, a real deal SuperBird is rare and expensive, but now I see people listing mid 70's 4-door beaters as "classic muscle cars" and asking ridiculous amounts for them.
