considering a 72 scamp
Well i finally bought it 1 year later. I must have been asleep or drunk when i failed to notice 1 rotted quarter panel, but she's otherwise solid.
I rebuilt the holly 1920, changed the fuel filter and rubber lines and she fired right up and idled. Drove her home with the trans slipping like crazy. Check the fluid, 2quarts low. Topped it off and now it shifts solid and drives great. Taken it to work twice, no problems yet.
The PO lowered the heck out of the front end with the torsion bars and put 60 series tires on it and never adjusted the alignment so she's squirrely as hell above 35. Will address that this weekend. Also replacing shocks with a set of new air shocks that came with the car.
Otherwise no complaints other than the super weak blower motor for the fan (bad ground maybe?) need to do some little things, replace some vacuum lines and hoses and adjust the valves/timing and idle but at least she's back on the road after sitting for 3 years.
