Lowballers

If someone knows darn well how much a car is worth and what they're offering is ridiculous, then that might indeed be ridiculous.

But sometimes seemingly lowball (compared to the asking price) offers are not unwarranted. Case in point, my Dart was on ebay for around $3500. Which was ridiculous, even without seeing it in person and assuming the best. I sent someone near to it to go look in person, and the price there on the sign (I still have the sign) was $3200, which was crossed off and $2200 was written in under that. It was probably a $1500 car. I got it for significantly less than that. But after really going through the car, I think it's really over a $1500 car, it just happens to be ugly due to the paint.

So... you just never know. In my case, making a low-ish offer resulted in a happy buyer and a happy seller.

Don't take it personally, just blow it off and move on and find someone who meets your price.

I just realized this is a 3 month old thread. Well, I typed all this, so...
