Whats the best time for a factory stock duster 1/4 miles ??

In August of 1970 I bought my new, off the showroom floor, 70 Duster 340. It had a July build date, one of the last 70 production models. It was a 340, 4-speed, 3.55 suregrip. With just minor carb rejetting, and distributor recurve, I ran consistent 13.90's with the stock E-70 white stripe polyglass tires. All of the other 340 cars, at this track had headers, cam change and tires to get the same times. A couple of years later, I put a 440 in the car. We tore down the 340 to see if we could find out why it was such a freak. That's when I found it had the 340 TA motor with the 4 bbl intake and carb on it. Oh the joys of a end of production year car.
Here's a pic of the car, taken in 1975...

the 1/4 time depended on gears and tires- from being there in the day- 3.91- 4.10s were the hot ticket-esp with 4 speeds... but I remember 340 autos with 3.23s that spun less and could run low 14s- and tough on the street
