Hemi Heads - and Hemi questions
The Stage V are a definite advantage over stock, however, from what I was told there are a few considerations.
First, the Stage V heads are a bit larger overall than factory, so fitment may be a concern. Second, with the raised ports some engine/chassis combos may require custom headers. Third, certain classes require STOCK heads, aka mandating a factory production number thereby negating the the Stage Vs. and finally---cost. I got my motor from Ray Barton & the Stage Vs were simply out of my range. For an occassional track or exclusively street car I'm not sure the Stage Vs are worth it. My own opinion is I'd rather have stronger valvetrain, oiling or boittom-end than pay the extra bucks for a set of heads that while darn good, I may never actually utilize to their full potential.
