I had a guy try to take me for a ride on my Ex's wedding ring (I found him on eBay where he had good feedback, but I bought from him outside of eBay). I google-mapped his address, pulled up street view, and called him. I told him flat out that a plane ticket was only a tenth of what he'd ripped me off for (I told him the flight number and airline, too), and that I'd be in New York by 3pm Eastern Time Zone that day to drag him into the alley next to his store if he didn't authorize the refund in the next hour.

Refund time: 36 minutes.

LMAO I had a similar problem. While talking on the phone I explained in a real civilized voice how he's probably dealt with people yelling, screaming and threatening him over the phone and they never back it up. I then explained that I was getting into my car in the next few minutes and would be there in a short time and he would see how aggressive and threatening I can be in person. He immediately started back peddling and swearing that he would refund the $3000+ dollars he screwed us out of. I gave him 24 hours to straighten things out or he would deal with a big guy that is EXTREMELY aggressive and he wouldn't like my visit. Yup, I got my refund.
