Best headers?

I've run some Patriot pavement draggers and they sucked, which means that anything which shares that crapulent design probably also sucks, which rules out the Summit parts, Super Comps, and anything cheap. I've seen the Doug's and TTI's recommended time and time again here, and I've also seen TTI install pics that feature pipes which hit every single steering device along the way and the starter, and tales of tube massaging to get it to stop plinking around down there time and time again. I have yet to see a good pictorial set of a Doug's setup. Read this thread about the Tight Tubes, which appear to slip in pretty nice and require thinking about the connection to the rest of the exhaust system, but don't appear to require dead blow hammers and presses to squish pipes for clearance, even with power steering and old-school starters. After looking at all the TTI install threads I've peeked at? I don't think I'd ever risk it, I don't want to take a ball peen to something that I spent $600+ on.
