TCI Headers, with mid plate and or power Glide

FYI
If you run the awesome TTI headers with a Big Block and a mid plate, you will have to pull the trans, or engine to remove the starter.Header will not come out with mid plate in the way, even if you remove the torsion bar.
I also cut the mid plate into two pieces at the top, to make removal easier, once tranny is out.
Also, with a Power Glide (non Mopar 2 speed racing trans!) and the JW ultra bell adapter/sheild, watch the power post on the mini starter bottom, it comes very close to the headers, due to the spacers needed between the starter and bell housing.I used 3 wraps of header wrap in this area, and no problems. The rubber boot on the starter has not melted either.
You will also need to adjust (bend) the shifter bracket on the 'Glide to clear the headers.
Lastly, when installing the tranny with the headers in place, you need to rotate the tranny a little right while moving foward, to clear the headers.
I realize this is not TTI's fault, because the headers were designed aound a 727.
Email if you have any questions, would be glad to help.I found none when I started my 69 Valiant drag car project, which is now finished.
