As long as you have a magnum block or one of the late LA blocks that came with roller lifters you will be OK. Those lifters cab't be used in LA blocks because there is no provisions for attaching the spider that hols those lifters in place.

is the retainer plate held down with a bolt? i got machine experience and a lot of connections, so i figured i can adept it to the early LA block
