does anybody make a coffemaker worth a damn!

..we have hard water and never get more than a year out of any machine
.went with a melita manual dripper
.my neighbour roasts and sells 27 different varieties of coffee and i never have coffee that has been roasted more than a few days and we grind only about 3 days at a time....We're so spoiled!
Sumatra,Bali,Ethiopian,Columbian,Costa Rica...oh my!
