sourcing a crankshaft - please help
Normally I get my Callies stuf thru Mancini Racing. I havent tried to get a 3.310 stroke crank before. So I figured I'd call Callies. They dont get much call for the stock stroke stuff, so there's a long lead time, but I was told about $1000 for the Dragonslayer version. They had a number for the last dealer that ordered some from them in VA. They also have the Magnum level cranks at $2000, and Crower has a billet for $2800 or so. The Crower can go thru Flatlander Racing (website..I've never used them) Your suppliers may have better pricing too. These are simply "racer net" meaning the average Joe..not discounted. Just research what you want. The Dragonslayer will hold upwards of 650hp pretty easy. The Crower should be able to go well past 1000 safely. The typical $280-$350 cast cranks should be avoided IMO, and a factory forged isnt going to be that great at that level either. The cast ones do a great job, but what you're asking IMO is a little too much for them.
