trunk floor is "like" new, but I used a new gastank from a 65-Mustang, not the original one. I think thats better, because of the trunk is even with this...

One terrible thing about the Mustang gas tank is that the upper wall of the tank doubles as the trunk floor. If the car ever gets hit in the rear, they are prone to spreading flaming gasoline forward into the passemger compartment. It may have seemed like a good idea at the time but there were many lawsuits aginst Ford because of this design defect. You can read the gruesome stories if you Google it. But I guessI understand your thinking if you were able to obtain a new Ford tank easier than a reproduction Duster tank and trunk floor in Germany.
This car apparently came from Chicago where salt is spread liberally on the roads in Winter to melt the snow but is really brutal on the old sheet metal.
