Long gun registry gone!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I guess I'll be the dissenting voice for this one. The police here used the gun registry to catch a guy who was stealing guns from his employers' store and reselling them for his own profit. The guns were all properly registered. Without the registry, this guy would never have been caught.

Not really true.

1) That has nothing to do with the LONG gun registry that was dismantled last night.

2) The gun registry didn't really help them at all. The guy was CAUGHT because the boss realized that he was having more guns ordered than the cash for those sold.

3) This guy STOLE and LEGALLY TRANSFERRED these guns over a period of 4 years.

4) The guy who stole the guns was a manager in charge of ORDERING and TRANSFERRING firearms. He would just order an extra one for himself and would transfer it into his name LEGALLY but he never paid the store for them.

5) What the registry did do was almost turn 12 Canadians into criminals. The guy sold 12 of those stolen guns to members of another forum I am on. The police came by and SEIZED all those firearms and anyone who tried to complain were told they could be charged with buying STOLEN property.
