7.25 axle removal.....HELP!

Ok, here is a pic of the diff in my 1975 Scamp 7.25 rear. There are no "C" clips, and it is not necessary to remove that center shaft to remove the axle. The center shaft is held in by a pin, not a screw. Look at the screw location, there is a pin, as the factory service manual shows (no pic of manual, lol).
I rented a "Powerbuilt axle puller" from Advance auto parts.
6 - 7 slams and out came the axle.
