1973 340 shortblock and 70-71 bare heads for sale.
I originally bought this for my '70 Dart but have decided that I'd rather start liquidating the parts that I've collected and get the paint and bodywork done so I can enjoy the car sooner rather than later. This is a 1973 340 engine. It has the crankshaft, pistons, and rods in it. I do have a windage tray that appears correct and a center sump oil pan for it. Bores look to be factory size, have not removed main or rod caps. Engine is locked up right now and has rust on the cylinder walls. VIN stamped on the pan rail is 3B609606.
The heads are a set of bare (no valves or springs) 3418915 "U" code heads. These have the small valves and from what I can find were used on 70-71 340 engines, and 70-72 360 engines. I know absolutely nothing about these and planned on them being a set of buildable cores when I bought them.
$700 plus freight takes it all. Freight can be figured from zip code 66609 as that's where they would be leaving from. I have access to pallets and banding so putting it on a pallet is not a problem. Price is not negotiable. If you don't like it, don't buy it. It's not hurting anything sitting here. Will only split up if engine buyer does not want the heads, then will take $600 for engine, $100 for heads.
