Where is the best place to get an after market K Member with rack and pinion and tubular upper and lower control arms?

rms copy.

Couldnt say whether it is or not, but I will say it is a million times better looking than the RMS. The square tubing RMS uses is simply ugly. Absolutely ridiculous. Nothing against Bill at all, but whens the last time you saw an automotive product made of square tubing other frame connectors?
I like the Control Freak setup myself, just judging by the pictures and info I have heard.

Sorry I respectfully disagree, I think the RMS unit looks 10 times beefier than that other freaky looking "thing" they pass off as a front end.

this looks like cobbled up spaghetti. ghey.

Round tube is stronger just for starters. The RMS unit has a TON of welding in it, and each weld joint puts heat in the material making for an even weaker tube, and then add to that the mounting points of the RMS unit are a square tube cut off, and using the one wall of the tube...A little weird to me. We wont mention the "design" to mount the coilovers.
Again, no disrespect to Bill...I know he sells alot of these.

Tshell made mine... It's round tube and works perfect. Very high end design without braking the bank. Search his screen name and shoot him a pm.

Actually, welding does not weaken it, it strengthens it.
Any weld if done properly is stronger than the parent material.

Actually the material around a weld will always be weaker than it was initially. High amount of heat and no input of welding rod makes it the weak link. HAZ, or heat affected zone, is the weak point. Heat is the enemy as it messes with the
Molecular structure of the material. Carry on... :)

Looking at the pictures side by side, the RMS looks like a tank and the Control Freaks has the look of finesse.

As an added comment, in the newest Mopar Action magazine (August - wtf, its only May) there's a 3 page review of RMS in the Tech Section (with illustrations) that doesn't speak very highly of the RMS design, pointing out some questionable characteristics of the suspension. I would guess that those same comments would probably apply to Control Freaks as well, since they look pretty much the same (except tank vs finesse). But, maybe not.

I think anyone considering an RMS front end should read that article.

that clown has been bashing the alter-k and all tube k-members for years now. he is obsessed for some reason.

i know for a fact that chrysler engineers built a duster to take over seas to do some racing and they used an alter-k. we are talking chrysler engineers here.

as far as the rms and control freak goes. yes the control freak is a direct copy of the alter-k only in round tube. i remember a guy with a blue dart bragging about buying an alter-k and having his buddy copy it for him. it was posted on moparts years ago. personally give me the square tube. its beefy and holds up to street abuse.

The good thing about all this is that there are finally options for us. I hate the fact that for the longest time nothing was avail in the aftermarket world for our cars.

Hemi Denny has been building these for 20+ years and is a member here, he is considerability cheaper than the others and offers more options.

After considering all the options: Denny's "Special K " is going in the "Blue Missile"™ I am anxiously awaiting its arrival!

Are there any online articles this said clown has written about K members? I'd be interested in reading one.
