68 Charger epiphany

I completely agree with 66dartman. I know several real mopar guys that have sold their cars because they have been made offers they couldn't refuse by people with more money than sense. My best example is my mother's neighbor. He is a real nice guy that just decided to get in to the muscle car thing and went out and bought them. He has a nice 70 purple 383 charger done in a protouring theme, and a 69 GTX. When I met him he told me the GTX was "an original red 440 4spd car." I looked at it and found an 8 3/4 rear, the block is a 78 truck motor, and the fender tag says it was F8 green inside and out. These are the people driving the prices up to were some real mopar guys can't afford to buy them and those that have the cars are very tempted to make many thousand on them. I'd love to buy my wife the e-body conv. she has always wanted but I can build at least 5 nice a-abodies for the price of a really nice cuda conv. I figure my demon will be last mopar if things get going this way. Unless I find the right 68-69 valiant or cuda notchback. At least thats what I tell my wife.
