will axles from a 8 1/4 fit in a n 8 3/4 rear

I have an 8 3/4 rear with 4" bolt pattern axles and an 8 1/4 rear with 4 1/2" bolt pattern axles. They are both a body rears. I would like to swap the 8 1/4 4 1/2 bp axles to the 8 3/4 rear. Will they fit??????????? Thanks for any help, Woody.
