8.75 yoke differences
A little clarification on yokes.
741 and 742 cases only came in 10 spline from the factory but there were at least 2 different U-joint sizes (and there might have been more as I seem to recall the 1330 or 1350 used on some of the older C-bodies). All A-bodies used the smaller 7260 U-joint
489 case yokes came in both 10 and 29 spline and 7260 and 7290 U-joint. From what I've seen 69 and early 70 489 cases used the 10 spline yoke and around 70-71 they went to the 29 spline.
It's possible a 489 case yoke could fit since some were 10 spline.
An easy way to tell what you have without disassembling it is the size of the retaining nut. The 10 spline yokes used a smaller nut that took a 1-1/8" socket while the 29 spline yoke uses a nut that takes a 1-1/4" socket
