What's the deal with champion?

From what I was told- Advance is just phasing out most Champions. They wont get rid of something unless there is a problem or not selling enough. With all the newer cars now a days calling for NGK's, Bosch, etc-well......
And I work at Advance Auto, and no- I cant get you my discount lol
