I wish !!!!:banghead: Here I am sitting with 3 Intake Manifolds,and 3 sets of Headers !

1.Aussie Intake and Aussie Headers - Intake fit nicely,header fit nicely,but when I tried them both together they DIDN'T fit nicely !!:banghead: #4 Header tube hit the #4 Intake Runner ! Ended up spending $200 to cut and reposition Header tube !

2.Picked up a good deal on a Powder Coated Offy Intake,and then purchased a set of Ceramic Coated Hooker Headers to go along with the Intake.

3.Ebay find,what I've had my heart set on from the begining,a Clifford HYPER PAK Intake which I've wanted for a LONG TIME !!! It came as a pkg deal with Headers,Cam,lifters and springs so I just had to have it !!!


So now the fun times begin (NOT)!!! Try fitting HP Intake with Hooker headers,no go without some grinding ! So let me try the HP intake with the Clifford headers (shouldn't be a problem seeing as they come from the same mfg)WRONG !!NO GO WITHOUT some grinding !! So I try the Offy intake with Hookers and Cliffords,guess what ??? NO GO WITHOUT SOME GRINDING !! Soooo now,I'm back to the Aussie pkg that I do know fits because I had the Header cut and rewelded so it would !!!! Tomorrow it's off to the Powder Coater for a makeover along with a Remote Dual Oil Filter kit !! That will complete the motor work !! NOW I can get started replacing ALL my Brake Lines with SS ones !!! Wonder what kind of adventures I'll run into there ??? As soon as I get my Intake and Headers back,I'll post some pics to share !! One day at a time !!!

Don't feel pregnant; I bought a $400.00 Hurricane intake manifold (long-runner) and Freddie built the header to fit it.

Then, I find out from a turbo-guru that forced induction and long runners don't play well together... so I bought a $200.00, used Offenhauser short-runner manifold. Wouldn't work with the header. Then I bought a (another $200.00) Clifford short-runner manifold; same deal... wouldn't fit, big time.

So, I started hammering on the header and grinding on the Clifford manifold. Hammered 'til I was afraid I was restricting flow and ground thru the manifold all the way to the other side...

Still won't fit.

So I am struck with this long-runner manifold that the turbo guru says will cause me to add 10 pounds of boost and will see no gain...

No matter; it's on there. :prayer:
