Go with the 460. By 1988 they were EFI accept in large chassis. If it is a carb motor your good to go, it not, let me know and I tell you the difference between the two and if you want to add some poop to it. I can point you in the right direction for information.

Yea its an EFI motor i have all of the wire harness and CPU,I will need alot of help, I think that I will change it to a carb engine just to make it easier , I will PM you if you don't minded when i get to that point of the resto. 1 more ? this 460 has external oil cooler is that normal? like i said I know nothing about Fords.
